2021 Jean-Charles Fruchart Prize in Nuclear Receptors and Atherosclerosis Research


The International Atherosclerosis Society is very pleased to announce the 2021 Jean-Charles Fruchart Prize in Nuclear Receptors and Atherosclerosis Research which will be presented during the upcoming XIX International Symposium on Atherosclerosis, October 24-27, 2021 in Kyoto, Japan which will be held in hybrid format.

 

The aim of the Fruchart Prize is to encourage basic, clinical and translational research in the areas relating to the role of nuclear receptors in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The prize will be awarded to an individual who has achieved these goals and continues to work towards that end.

 

The award recipient will have provided outstanding scientific medical, or organizational advancement in our ability to understand the functional involvement of nuclear receptors in atherosclerotic vascular disease and their athero-protective role to reduce the development of atherosclerosis.

 

The Prize ($ 20,000) is sponsored by R3i Foundation and the International Atherosclerosis Society.
